Our Story

What drew me to dermatology was how complex medical mysteries could be solved by just looking at the skin. As my knowledge and expertise have grown; so did a growing realisation that the next intuitive step was not only solving skin problems as they arose, but to look deeper. As cliched as it may sound, a healthy skin is achieved through a healthy life. Our aim at TASH360 is to make it easy for patients to embrace this. I am proud of the unique collaborative approach to skin health we offer at our practice. TASH360 remains rooted in conventional dermatology while offering the latest in novel therapies using cutting-edge technologies, advanced diagnostic testing and an integrative approach. This remains pivotal to the success of our treatments and ultimately to the most positive patient experiences.

Featured Advanced Diagnostic Testing

‘Shooting in the dark’ is not a thing in TASH 360’s world.

Laboratory tests reveal who we really are – physically unique individuals, the sum of numerous biochemical systems.

Our bespoke genetic testing focuses on the mind:gut:skin axis

This includes analysis of the gut microbiome as well as detection of bacterial overgrowth in the small intestine (SIBO)

This provides dietary guidance through insight into dietary protein intake and digestion/absorption

Fatty acid imbalances can be a causative factor in a variety of chronic health conditions. This test assesses the critical balance between essential Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids and can indicate the need for fatty acid supplementation and/or dietary modification.

This test provides a view into the body’s cellular metabolic processes. Identifying metabolic blocks that can be treated nutritionally allows individual tailoring of dietary recommendations and prescribed supplements.

This test identifies intolerance to certain foods and allows for an intervention plan whereby the top 5 foods with the highest antibody concentrations are avoided for 3 months while foods showing moderate antibody concentrations are reduced or rotated during the initial 3 month period. Thereafter, foods are gradually reintroduced into the diet.

Liposcan (HDL & LDL Subfractions) is a new procedure that determines the actual heart attack risk by means of a differentiated analysis of HDL and LDL subfractions.

It is a popular fallacy that high cholesterol levels automatically mean an increased heart attack risk. Patients that don’t suffer a heart attack can have higher cholesterol levels, and similarly, those that suffer a heart attack may have low cholesterol levels. Individual differences exist with respect to the LDL levels and here, even more importantly, in the size distribution of the LDL particles. The small LDL particles in particular, have a very high potential of causing a heart attack. Therefore, it is less important how much cholesterol a patient has, but which type of cholesterol is elevated and which size distribution the cholesterol particles have. These are the parameters the risk assessment and the therapy depend on.

The Oxidised LDL test is designed to detect various cardiovascular conditions including Coronary Artery Disease (CAD) and atherosclerosis by looking at lipid peroxidation, caused by the effect of free radicals on unsaturated fatty acids.

This test measures our “fight or flight” stress hormone – cortisol produced by the adrenal gland. Modern life can cause an ongoing, excessive release of this hormone resulting in adrenal fatigue.

DUTCH offers the most extensive profile of sex and adrenal hormones along with their metabolites. Additionally, the daily (diurnal) pattern of free cortisol is included along with melatonin

The Fat-Soluble Vitamins Profile provides an overall perspective of a patient’s health, nutrient processing, and dietary insufficiencies. Serum levels of the fat-soluble Vitamins A, D, E, and K, beta-carotene, and Coenzyme Q10 are measured to evaluate total body status of these antioxidant nutrients.

Testing these nutrients together in one panel is important because nutrient functionality is dependent on the adequate supply of each nutrient. For bone health, taking Vitamin D without adequate levels of Vitamins A, E, and K may be detrimental since all are needed for proper bone calcification. Antioxidants, such as Vitamin E, CoQ10, and beta-carotene, help ensure proper oxidation-reduction chain reactions and neutralize harmful free radicals.
