How to improve your skin’s texture

Is your skin feeling course, rough, dry, or even dull?

If so, its highly likely that this is as a result of excess dead skin cells that have built up on the surface of your skin.

What can you do about it?

You’re in luck at Atlantic Dermatology and Laser, a division of TASH360! We have a few amazing treatments on offer that will reset the aging clock, and give you the smooth & soft skin we are all looking for!

Skin Peels:

Skin Peels are great for mild to moderate resurfacing. Peels are derived from natural sources such as glycolic acid from sugar cane, lactic acid from sour milk, and salicylic acid from willow; while enzymatic peels are derived from papaya and pumpkin.

Dermapen™ – Micro-Needling:

This is a medical device used to create new tissue layers of elastin and collagen fibers, as well as an improved blood supply. As this device creates microscopic wounds in the skin, we encourage the skin to activate its healing response. When the skin has healed it plumps and thickens while reducing the appearance of scars, wrinkles, and fine lines.

NanoLaserPeel®:

This is not a fruit acid peel as we know, this is a laser peel, in which we set the depth on the laser and vaporize a layer of the skin. This technology is amazing for texture, pore reduction, and an overall improvement in the skin. This gentle laser peel instantly removes just the top layer of skin for beautiful results with just 1- 3 days of flaking dry skin.

MicroLaserPeel®:

This treatment is also a laser peel where we go deeper than the nano peel. The laser removes a thin layer of damaged skin to improve texture and provide a more youthful appearance. It provides superior results because it can be administered with great precision of depth.

DeepLaserResurfacing / Laser facelift®:

This is our gold standard non-surgical laser facelift, it utilizes the Tunable Resurfacing Laser (TRL) to dramatically improve the skin. This is the latest advancement in safely treating deep wrinkles, acne scars, chickenpox, and trauma scars and for improving texture from sun damage and age.

There are many ways from mild to moderate and to deep treatments that a person can do to resurface the skin to improve your texture. How we determine the treatments are based on the skin type, the skin condition as well as the downtime or recovery period the client is willing to endure.

The treatment recovery period also requires the correct post-procedure products and diligence from the patient with regards to cleansing, sun protection, and following the correct advice from your skin and laser specialist. To ensure your results are maintained it is important to continue with the correct medical aesthetic home care products and NEVER forget to reapply your sun protection factor!
